My first Fixed Gear Century
My first century, like many other riders, was when I least expected it. It was in the summer of 2011 on a sweltering hot day when I was under the impression that we would do a quick 30 mile roundtrip. What I thought would be an enjoyable afternoon of blissful riding around the city of Los Angeles, maybe even making it across town to the beach…ended up being one endless, uncomfortable, and just plain dreadful ride until way beyond sundown.
